Navigating the Information Age - Protecting Your Information and Maintaining Security Awareness

Information security and the protection of sensitive data is paramount to all organizations.  Kyle Loven will demonstrate common security shortcomings, and will discuss ways in which everyone can improve their security awareness and become better defenders of data in the face of cyber attackers. 

Mr. Loven joined CFS after a career in the FBI spanning over twenty years, during which he held a number of roles. Kyle has an accomplished legal background and brings a diverse breadth of expertise to CFS. From December of 2004 to September of 2017, Mr. Loven was held accountable for all aspects of Legal, Community Outreach, Media, and Asset Forfeiture operations, programs, and staff across a 3-state region. Mr. Loven served as the principal Ethics, Corporate Policy, Privacy, and Compliance Council official and key advisor. Mr. Loven managed all legal, compliance, privacy, and ethics communication, correspondence, and reporting, and served as the principal internal and external point-of-contact for Minneapolis. As Special Assistant US Attorney for the District of Minnesota, Mr. Loven played an instrumental role in managing litigation filed against the FBI, working in close partnership with the US Attorney.
