Topic:  7 Conveyancing Issues and Practical Solutions

This presentation is intended to introduce and discuss a number of quandaries, quagmires and conundrums commonly encountered by closers and title examiners in conveyances of real property.

Practical solutions are suggested. Presenter will review case law:

Barbara Gilmore is vice president and regional counsel for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company based in Minneapolis. She underwrites for the states of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Ms. Gilmore received her B.A. from Carleton College in Northfield, MN, and her law degree from Drake University Law School in Des Moines, IA. She is also a real property specialist certified by the Minnesota State Bar Association. She is past president of the Minnesota Land Title Association and is a frequent lecturer on title examination and title insurance.
