Topic: Assistance Animals in Commercial and Residential Spaces

Speaker will review who is allowed and by what rules are they allowed to have service animals in residential and commercial spaces. What is a service animal? She will cover the following:

  • Stat. § 604A.302, 14 C.F.R. § 382, 14

Speaker: Robin Ann Williams

Ms. Williams has 20 years of experience representing clients in insurance coverage and trust and estates litigation. She has been involved in some of the most complex coverage and high-profile trust matters filed in Minnesota. She also represents large residential owners and management agents in housing disputes.

Ms. Williams frequently serves as course chair or speaker at national and statewide continuing legal education seminars, speaking on insurance coverage and housing topics. She has also conducted numerous trainings and employee seminars for her housing clients. She served as Visiting Clinical Professor of Law and as an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota Law School, where she developed a commercial general liability insurance coverage course. For several years, she was also an adjunct professor at William Mitchell College of Law.

Ms. Williams previously served as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer. She has been recognized as both a Top 100 Super Lawyer and Top 50 Women Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers, Mpls.St.Paul Magazine and Twin Cities Business. She is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for Insurance Law and for Commercial Litigation and is a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America. In 2017, she was a Diversity & Inclusion honoree selected by Minnesota Lawyer.
