Topic: Overview of 1031 Property Exchange

On occasion, a client may want to do a 1031 exchange as part of their financial or estate planning. This presentation will provide an overview of a 1031 property exchange. Matthew Brozik will discuss what a 1031 exchange is, when and why to use one, and the pros and cons of using one. Mr. Brozik will discuss the process and rules to follow when working on a 1031 exchange.

 Speaker: Matthew Brozik

Matthew is a partner at Estate & Financial Services, where he is a Retirement, Investment and Estate Planner.

Matthew, his wife Lisa and their three children, Owen, Isla & Merrick, live in North Mankato, MN. Matthew enjoys spending quality time on the lake at their family cabin boating and fishing. Matthew is an avid musky fisherman during the summer and hunts in the fall for pheasants and deer. During the winter, Matthew stays busy playing hockey in the Mankato C-League and watching the MN Wild and Duluth Bulldogs.

Matthew enjoys volunteering his time at Mankato Sertoma Club, Kiwanis Club and teaching Junior Achievement to Mankato area fourth graders. He also serves on the Edcuare board and commits time to MN Adult and Teen Challenge.

Professionally, Matthew is a 2009 graduate of The University of Minnesota-Duluth, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Philosophy. Along with his FINRA Series 7, 63 and insurance license, he also holds a long term care certificate.

Matthew has passion to profoundly enlighten and empower his clients. Enabling them to make positive, confident decisions to better themselves and their families. Through this contrarian approach, he is committed to creating a culture of never-ending learning and intent on bringing utmost value to his clients.
