Topic: The Outlook for Trials and Hearings

Join us to take a look at the effect of the pandemic on the use of presentation and conferencing technology (especially Zoom) in the course of litigation and in trial. Mr. Zerin will give a brief overview of the timeline for incorporation of technology from 1990's forward including the use of Skype to present witness testimony remotely. The pandemic of 2020 brings about ubiquitous use of Zoom platform for depositions, hearings and bench trials. Will the future include significant use of Zoom for jury trials? Tune in for a discussion on what the future could hold.

Speakers:

Todd Zerin is the principal of Courtroom Visual which he formed in 2008. He has supported courtroom use of technology since 2000, including the hot-seating of numerous trials. Prior to that he practiced as a trial attorney beginning in 1984.
