Topic: From the Frontlines: Immigration Discussion on Legality and Human Rights
Join us as for an informative session with two experienced immigration paralegals based in the Twin Cities.They will discuss their work within different areas of immigration law and cover topics such as:
Rachel Crane: Rachel has been an immigration paralegal at Fredrikson & Byron since 2017, through which she has gained experience in employment-based immigration for physicians and researchers, family-based petitions, and pro bono asylum work. In 2019, she travelled to Karnes Detention Center in Texas to provide legal services to detained asylum-seekers as part of a pro bono project for Fredrikson & Byron. She is currently a first-year law student at the University of St.Thomas School of Law.
Liz Eckholdm: Liz is Minneapolis based legal professional who has over seven years of experience as an immigration paralegal specializing in deportation and litigation defense. She has first-hand experience preparing complex asylum and relief from removal applications and working with clients from a wide variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Inspired by her work in serving the immigrant community, she is currently a first-year law student at the University of St. Thomas School of Law and a law clerk for Hennepin County.
CLE credit has been requested.
