Topic: The ABCs of Guardianship and Conservatorship

This discussion will center on Guardianship & Conservatorship 101 including the basics of the new and improved governing statute, the new bill of rights, court pleadings, court processes, and least restrictive alternatives. We will include a high-level review of emergency proceedings, removal and appointment of successor proceedings, and contested matters.

Speaker: Jessica Timmington Lindstrom

Jessica is an attorney practicing with the Trusts and Estates group at Winthrop & Weinstine with a specialty in Elder Law.  She is the current treasurer for the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) MN Chapter, and also serves as the treasurer for the Minnesota Association for Guardianship and Conservatorship (MAGiC). When not practicing law, Jessica can be found at Lake Vermilion with her husband, training her rescued dogs, volunteering for A Rotta Love Plus dog rescue, or competing nationally with her American Saddlebred horses.
