So, How Do We Get Records? How Much Should It Cost? How Do We Store Records? Oh, and what is the deal with AI?
A discussion on the at-times confusing rules governing transmission and exchange of HIPAA- protected information and some AI information. Through four sections, this presentation informs and educates the attendees on requirements, updates, and various regulations requirements HIPAA, HITECH, 21st Century Cures Act & also touches on AI.
Speaker: Jay Jenkins, VP Client Services/Owner, T-Scan Corporation
Jay Jenkins has worked in record retrieval for 20+ years. At T-Scan Corporation, Jay developed and managed all phases of the business including retrieval practices and processes, building secure record delivery systems, senior management and stewardship of client services, company expectations, and vision.
Over the last 20 years Jay has retrieved millions of protected documents from every state in the country. On a daily basis, Jay and the team at T-Scan work through HIPAA, HITECH, and various regional, state and corporate rules governing protected information to create the most efficient, effective, secure retrieval processes available in the industry.
Each year, Jay presents several local, regional and national CLEs to various professional organizations across the country.
Jay Graduated University of Washington with a BA in English: Creative Writing. Currently, Jay is Co-Owner and VP of Client Services at T-Scan focusing on client service, experience, and innovation. Jay lives in Everett, WA with his wife Denise, and a hyperactive Lab named Hope--- we always have Hope.
