Topic: Apostilles, Authentications, and Legalizations

Doing business outside the United States can result in complications or even costly consequences if you don’t know what documents are required. Attendees will learn the differences between commonly required apostille, authentication, and legalization documents and the process for obtaining them. This presentation also includes best practices for specific countries.

Speaker: Helena Ledic and Kelly Courtney, CSC

Kelly Courtney is a CSC Senior Client Service Representative and has almost 40 years’ experience with CSC. She has been a member of the Legalization team for the last 6 years. Kelly supports our law firm and corporate customers by providing Apostille and Legalization services. Kelly works out of CSC’s Austin, Texas office.

Helena Ledic is an Associate General Counsel with CSC, based in Chicago. Helena is the current chair of the Association of Corporate Counsel’s Corporate and Securities Network and a regular ACC speaker across the country on topics involving legal ethics, SaaS, and security and non-disclosure agreements including at the ACC Annual Meeting. She is the treasurer of ACC Chicago and the website officer of the International Bar Association’s Corporate Counsel Forum. She is a frequent guest speaker at law firms and paralegal organizations on best practices regarding corporate and financial filings. She is a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago School of Law and licensed in Illinois.
