Topic: Truth or Tech: Navigating AI-Generated Evidence in the Courtroom
As technology advances, the manipulation of digital content has become more sophisticated and accessible than ever. It is now easier to generate or alter photos, videos, audio recordings, and even handwriting, raising critical questions about the integrity of evidence presented in legal proceedings. With the rise of AI-generated content, we must consider how these advancements can potentially compromise the reliability of evidence in court.
Speaker: Brian Chase
Brian Chase is a Managing Director of Digital Forensics at ArcherHall, an expert witness, and an adjunct professor of law. He has a diverse background, including years working as a network administrator for the University of Arizona, a Management and Information Systems degree from the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona, and a law degree from the same institution. Mr. Chase has worked with various sized law firms both in an IT and legal capacity, and he has consulted with firms on their use of technology within the office. He has also provided expert testimony in criminal and civil matters ranging from misdemeanors to murder to medical malpractice. Mr. Chase has published and spoken on various technologyrelated issues impacting law firms and parties in the civil and criminal justice system. He teaches various topics regarding law and technology, digital forensics and evidence, at a variety of legal and technical conferences.

Topic: Family Law - Legal Paraprofessional Work
This CLE will cover information and training related to being a Legal Paraprofessional working on family law matters. Divorce and family law in Minnesota cover various legal issues related to marriage, family relationships, and children. These can include divorce proceedings, child custody and parenting time rights, focusing on the children's best interests, child support, spousal maintenance (alimony) and division of property.
A Legal Paraprofessional does initial consultations and intakes on family law matters. She does mediations and settlement negotiations, drafts legal documents, she gives legal advice to clients, attends hearings with clients, with the exception of a trial. As the attorney I oversee what she does by reviewing documents prior to submitting them to the court, by discussing cases as they progress and I trust that she will come to me if she has any questions or concerns.

Mr. Berg is an attorney at Patton, Hoversten & Berg, PA located in Waseca, MN. His practice areas are: Collections; Bankruptcy; Personal Injury; Family Law; Business Law; and Real Estate. Topic: Ethics of AI in Litigation
Recent public technological advances have and will continue to intersect the legal industry and affect litigation. This CLE will address the application of AI as a legal industry tool that can help facilitate efficiencies by automating tasks and be a useful tool in analyzing patterns and making comparisons as part of trial prep. Specific goals of this CLE course include educating the legal industry on what AI is and the benefits and challenges it encompasses, along with bringing awareness to the proper and ethical use of AI in the legal industry. Join us for this CLE as we determine the best way to balance innovation and responsibility.
Speaker: Jason Primuth, CIO, Lexitas
Jason brings a broad experience in court reporting technology. He founded NextGen Reporting, a deposition services firm which pioneered the concept of remote depositions. NextGen Reporting was acquired by Lexitas in 2017.
Jason was the General Manager of RealLegal and the Vice President of Sales at LiveNote, Inc. He also led the business development team at YesVideo and was instrumental in the launch and growth of the company’s successful YesLaw software and service offering for court reporting and litigation professionals worldwide.
As a regular presenter at conventions for attorneys, corporate counsel, and court reporters, Jason has educated thousands of professionals on the value and best practices of litigation technology. Jason studied international politics and diplomacy at the George Washington University in Washington, DC.

Topic: Between the Lines: Advanced Techniques for iOS Mobile Device Message Syncing, Recovery, and Gap Analysis
In litigation it is common to conduct an extraction of mobile messaging data for discovery purposes. Often, forensic analysis is needed to answer questions related to synced data, data that appears to be deleted, and data recovery. This presentation will be a deep dive into current iOS message syncing and backup solutions, data recovery options, and conducting database gap analysis to determine patterns of deletion within a given time frame.
Attendees will leave with a better understanding of the Apple ecosystem to help them develop more comprehensive strategies for dealing with iOS native messaging discovery obligations.

Joe Pochron is a Managing Director in the Digital Investigations & Cyber Defense practice at Nardello & Co. He was previously the digital forensic and insider threat lead for the Forensic & Integrity Service Practice at a Big 4 accounting firm where Joe served as a technology consultant to Fortune 100 companies. Joe has consulted and provided subject matter expertise on the intersection of generative AI and Legal, and is a frequent speaker on the topic.
Prior, Joe managed a global digital forensic team at a leading litigation support provider. Additionally Joe was the Commanding Officer of a government digital forensic laboratory and cybercrime task force leader. Joe's expertise includes insider threats, and helping clients on complex cyber investigations and cyber incidents response needs. Joe has over 20 years of combined experience in digital forensics, cybercrime investigations, eDiscovery, and cyber incident response. Joe has investigated or managed thousands of cases involving the collection and analysis of computer, mobile device, network, and cloud-based data. Joe has testified numerous times in local, state, and federal legal matters as a digital forensic expert. Additionally, he frequently provides expert affidavits, or expert forensic reports for clients in support of digital forensic analysis or cyber investigative needs.

Topic: Creating Realistic Divorce Budgets: How to Avoid Making 7 Classic Mistakes
Kelli will go into detail regarding mistakes that she typically sees when she is analyzing a budget and ways to avoid those mistakes. She also discusses helpful hints for preparing budgets - how to obtain data and what data to obtain.

Kelli Jordan is the owner of Kelli Jordan and Associates, LLC and is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst and Minnesota Certified Paralegal. She has over 30 years of family law experience working on simple to complex cases. Prior to former her current business, she previously worked at M. Sue Wilson Law Offices and Henson & Efron as a paralegal. Her current practice focuses on preparation and analysis of marital spending to establish the marital standard of living (MSOL). Once the marital spending analysis is completed, she prepares and/or analyzes post-decree budgets based upon the MSOL and current living expenses. Kelli also prepares budgets for temporary hearings as well as for post-decree modification of spousal maintenance matters.
